MXWI is a 19-year old from Egypt and currently abroad in Canada. His sound is very different as compared to the typical rap, R&B scene. He brings listeners of all ages through his diverse beat collection, clever lyricism, catchy flows, and unique sound. He makes boundary-busting music coming through with different genres such as hip hop and R&B, indie, rock, and even some hints of pop music. He brings true passion, longevity, and terrific vocals behind the sometimes piano dominant and drum percussive beats. Listening to his magic sound, you’d think music was his first love and it is not the case, his dream was to be a pilot but growing up he realized there was something magical calling out to his heart and he decided to heed the call and he is now a pilot in his own way cruising high on the skies with his soaring vocals and flight songs.
The depth of this album gives a listener the chance to encounter multiple-sided-glances of life, the loving and the hurtful side. Its more romantic melodic beauty will move you and the significantly melancholic melody will in its surprising way calm your emotions. From the loving side of “For You” to get a girl blushing vividly and profoundly touched to the danceable rhythm of both “Monster” and “Dance, Don’t talk” and the resounding atmospheric synths of “Lose Your Mind” not forgetting the melancholic sounds of “Melancholy”, “See You Never” means this album has got it all to get a listener laboriously invested from the first track to the last track.
The heavy swing and relaxing charm of the piano give way to the utterly smooth, suave, and sophisticated melody of “For You” that is reflected by all accounts on the marvelous happiness, uncommon exuberance, and striking beauty of the complimentary words on display. The mellifluous vocals and the ultra-cool instrumentation that flaunt refined melodic theme and compelling harmonic movements really go the distance and capture the classy nature of the song toppingly. This is the song for the loved ones with the words resonating with them exceptionally, reminding each one that it is the human touch in this world that counts, the touch of his her hand and yours which means far more to the fainting heart, than shelter and bread and wine. For shelter is gone when the night is over and bread only lasts a day! But the touch of the hand and the sound of the voice sing on the soul always. This is why they’d sacrifice their own lives for them.
The melody of the track advances at some point with some deep drums being integrated brilliantly, lovingly capturing the track’s many nuances in an excellent recording that acts as a quintessential showcase for MXWI and his abilities as both a writer and performer. This is just one track out of the exquisite made 10-track compilation and to get a taste of this dazzling musicianship on display, you certainly have to make that major appreciative step of streaming, saving and sharing this c continually alluring music that has been made with the listener in mind.
